Rosetta Kay (Barnette) Barnes
Obituary
Rosetta Barnes, 74 of Akron passed away on August 27, 2021. She attended Boheckers Business College to be a paralegal and retired from General Electric. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and she loved fast cars, travel, cooking and throwing parties.
Rosetta is preceded by her parents Ralph and Ila Barnette, brother John Barnette and sister Wynetta Cowger. She is survived by her son Joe Barnes, daughter Kim Sweet, 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Prentice Funeral Home, 1154 Kenmore Blvd. on Friday at 1:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Dave McBee, followed by burial at Lakewood Cemetery. Calling hours are from 11 am to 1 pm.
