Justin (Buck) Ray Delaney perished on the morning of Friday, November 11th. Justin was foremost a beloved father, dutiful son, and loyal brother; a man well known to put his family before all else.
Justin was born and raised in Kenmore, where he attended high school. Justin had a reputation for his strength and his courage. He had a great skill for bringing joy into the lives and the hearts of all those he came into contact with. His generosity, kindness, and personal sacrifices to those he knew and loved, and to strangers alike, were among his strongest qualities. This is something which should be viewed as highly remarkable, coming from a man whose life was certainly more hard than easy. It takes great bravery for a man, who found himself in such unfavorable circumstances so very often, to keep faith with his life, his God, and his family, as consistently as he did.
It would have been an easy and understandable thing to fall to doubt, fear, or despair, but he never did. Most would have considered giving up... but most... are not like Justin Delaney; because it seemed to me that such a thing never occurred to Justin. To remain so stalwart and to persevere as he did and to bring such happiness into our lives even in the most desperate and unfortunate of circumstances, is itself, a remarkable achievement. He was a great pillar of strength and joy to our family, and our world will be all that much duller, with the loss of him.
Justin arrived in the kingdom of heaven alongside the woman who proved to be the love of his life, Yvette Ray. Justin is survived by their daughter, Makia Ray Delaney, his son, Logan Marsh, his mother, Georgine Korora-Gwinn, his father, Timothy Ray Delaney, his stepmother, Lynn Rae Delaney, aunts, uncles, and cousins such as Melanie and James Benn, Jodi Benn and Casey Farson, Benny Benn, Betty and James Steurer, Abigail Steurer, Sarah Steurer, Toni Korora, Milan and Sue Korora, Amy and Nic Korora, Kathy and Bill Delaney, Mitchell and Morgan Delaney, John Delaney, Autumn Delaney, Ashley Koh, Jonelle Delaney, Pamela Nightingale, Robin Martincak, Rene Lacefield, Teresa Craig, step siblings Jimmy Gwinn and Kris Gwinn, and his little brother Dylan Ray Delaney.
Justin was preceded in death with his grandparents Jack Delaney, Marylou and Mike Conley, and George and Olga Korora; his stepfather James W Gwinn and his Uncle Dan Delaney.
