William "Bill" Welch William "Bill" Welch, 73, of Akron passed away December 13, 2014. Bill was born in Akron and lived here most of his life. He worked in the automotive industry. Bill is survived by his partner, Barbara Karl; children, Brian Welch, Lisa (Jay) Stinson and Kim Wagner; stepchildren, Sandra Morganstern and Robert Karl; brother, Bob Welch; sisters, Gloria Grim and Virginia Payne; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be at the Prentice Funeral Home, 1154 Kenmore Blvd., Wednesday at 12 noon, with Pastor Tina Nees and grandson Brandon Karl officiating. Burial will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Friends may call TODAY from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.
