William Drexler, 88 of Akron, passed away on May 6, 2024. He always prayed to be taken peacefully in his sleep and his prayers were answered. Bill was happily married to the love of his life for 63 years. He was faith-filled, genuine, loyal, loved routine and was always on time. He loved spending time with family and going to the casino. He loved sports – his favorite was basketball.

Bill is preceded in death by his wife Reecia; parents Raymond and Agnes; infant daughter Susan and daughter Sandra Drexler Fair; brothers Ray, Paul and Bob; sisters Irene and Rita.

His physical presence will be missed but his loving heart will continue on with his family, son Bill, Jr., daughter Becky (Greg) Plasity, grandchildren Angela, Chad, Michele (Alex), Parker, Lamara, Claire, Justice (Hanna), Seth, Alexandra; great grandchildren Charles, Luke, Annabell, Sophia, soon to be Vincent Michael; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Mass of the Christian burial will be Thursday, May 9th at 11am at Immaculate Conception Church, 2101 17th Street SW, followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery.

A funeral dinner will be held at ICC after the burial.
