Velma "Rudi" Rorrer passed away on April 18, 2025. She was born and raised in Alloy, West Virginia. Velma worked as a Nursing Assistant at Barberton Hospital and Pleasant View Nursing Home. Throughout her life, she had a passion for bingo, slot machines, eating tomatoes, dancing, gardening flowers and vegetables, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.

Velma was preceded in death by her husbands, Roland E. French, Jr. and John R. Rorrer; sisters, Sue McComas and Sally Stone.

She is survived by children, Rhonda (Mike) Hanes and Michael (Patty) French; grandchildren, Bryce (Amanda) Cain, Courtney (Nick) Phelps, Kaitlyn French, and Brennan French; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Paisley, Mason, and Theo; loving in-laws and several nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Summa Hospice for the love and care they provided to Velma in her final weeks.

There will be private services held for the family.
