Thomas E Cross, 73 of Barberton passed away in his home on July 9, 2022.  Thomas was born in Barberton on August 19, 1948 to Mary and Walter Cross.  He graduated from Kenmore High School in 1967. He married the love of his life Orva Price, and they were married for 54 years.  He retired from Babcock-Wilcox where he was a member of the Boilmaker's Union #900. He also worked part-time at Springhill Golf Course and he and Orva owned Tom & Orva's Ice Cream Park in Portage Lakes.  Thomas also enjoyed playing drums in many bands like Cross Country and was a proud Mooseheart for 35 years.

Thomas is survived by his wife Orva Cross, children Robert (Dawn) Cross and Shelly (Ralph) Busson, grandchildren Thomas J Cross, Jessica (Jason) Underwood, Autumn Cross, Ralph Busson Jr., Wyatt Cross, and Rebecca Busson, great-grandchildren Jason Jr & Scarlett Underwood and Gracelynn Cross, brother Russell J (Domitila) Cross, sister Janice Sherman and several nieces & nephews.  He is preceded by his parents Walter J and Mary Cross and his special dog Bufford.

The family would like to thank Crossroads Hospice and especially Dontae who took such good care of dad.

A memorial service will be held at the Prentice Funeral Home, 1154 Kenmore Blvd. on Wednesday, July 20th at 7:00 p.m.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
