Terry Dye, 66 of Akron passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on May 7, 2023.  Terry was born in Newton, West Virginia and worked at Polymet in Akron for 25 years.  He loved his friends and family and was always known to lend a helping hand.

Terry is preceded by his parents Arnold and Maxine Dye, siblings Chris Dye, Janice Archie, Sharon Simmons, grandson Ismael Vasquez, foster parents Ulysses and Tressy Young, and foster brother Greg Young.  He is survived by his children Stephanie Stonesifer, April (David) Lee, Sarah Stonesifer, Terri Stonesifer and Joshua Stonesifer, 11 grandchildren, siblings Arnold "Delmas" Dye, Michael Dye, Patsy Bechter, Donna Thompson, Richard (Vicky) Dye, Mary (Norman) Talbert and Lois Archie, and many, many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at the Prentice Funeral Home, 1154 Kenmore Blvd. in Akron. Ohio at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday May 13, 2023, officiated by Pastor Faron Cole.  Graveside services will be at Dye Cemetery in Newton, West Virginia Saturday afternoon, officiated by Pastor Loretta Koon.
