Steve Smith, 68 of Akron passed away on May 18, 2023, after a long battle with cancer. He retired from AMHA after many years in maintenance.  He was a hard worker, he liked to stay busy. A Jack of all trades. He always put everyone before himself, all the way up until the end. He was selfless, funny, and genuine. The best dad we could ask for. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and bowling. More than anything he really loved being a grandpa.

Steve is preceded by his parents Michael and Betty Smith.  He is survived by his daughters Brandy Bille (Heidi Winn) and Tracy Smith, grandchildren Michael Bille, Mackenzie Bille, Josh Cuppett and Kennedy Smith, brother Michael Smith, sisters Debbie Ostervich and Nancy Wells, many nieces and nephews, and lifelong best friend Dan Eckerman.

Private services have already taken place. Donations, if desired may be made to St. Jude's in Steve's memory.
