Sandra L. Lucas, 86 of Norton passed away on July 5, 2024. She worked as a secretary for over 30 years at Firestone where she also pitched for the softball team as her husband coached and son Ted was the batboy. As a breast cancer survivor, she rowed on the Dragon Boat Team. She was a member of a quilt club where she made lots of beautiful quilts. She decorated and donated many Christmas trees to the Children's Hospital Tree Festival. She signed all of her Christmas cards in calligraphy. She loved the outdoors, gardening, planting flowers, boating and water skiing.

Sandra is preceded by her husband Clarence "Bud" Lucas, son Tim Lucas, daughter-in-law Wendy Lucas, 3 brothers and 7 sisters. She is survived by her son Ted Lucas, grandchildren Adam (Sara) Hmeidan, Joseph Sleeth, and Joyce Sleeth, great-grandchildren Payton, Amiyah, Mohammad and Aiyah, brother Edgar "Tim" Alspach and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at Grace Baptist Church, 704 Firestone Blvd., on Monday July 15 at 5:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Robert Stephens. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00.
