Russell K. Markle, 85, of Akron passed away August 1, 2018. He was a Marine veteran, retired from Firestone, enjoyed karaoke and loved his wife and family with all his heart. A special thank you to Jamie, Crys, Evan, Emily, Vicki and Becky for their loving care. Russell is survived by his wife, Iris; daughter, Tamie (Bob) Contois; stepson, Richard (Shelly) Lukens; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the Prentice Funeral Home, 1154 Kenmore Blvd. on Saturday at 12 p.m., officiated by Rev. Larry Knight. Burial will follow with military honors by VFW Post# 1089 at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Friends may call an hour prior from 11 to 12.
