Obituary

Rocky Wodicka passed away suddenly in his sleep on October 29, 2022.  He served in the Vietnam War from March 1966 – December 1967. Rocky was a hard worker in the Laborers Union Local 894 for close to 20 years – always working on the side in drywall and even as a backyard mechanic sometimes.  He loved drinking beer with friends or anyone who wanted to drink a beer. Rocky loved watching Nascar, The Voice and America's Got Talent.

He loved his family and he's now with his son Merle Wodicka, brothers Dan, George and Butch, Mom and Dad Merle & Dawn Wodicka.  He is survived by his wife of 52 years Mary, daughter Tinai and favorite son-in-law Joe Brown, sons George and Rocky II, 11 grandchildren, almost 20 grandchildren and countless friends.  He will be missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held at the Akron Bible Church, 783 Brown St., Akron on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 2:00 pm officiated by Pastor Randy Baker. Military honors led by the U.S. Army and the VFW will also take place.
