Richard Paul Marmaduke, 85, of Green died at home on August 1, 2018. He graduated from South High School and then served in the Army with the quartermaster unit. He retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. and then worked for several years for the Akron Public Schools. Richard loved gardening and playing euchre, but most of all he loved spending time with his wife, his baby Sugar and his family. He was preceded by his parents, Lester Marmaduke and Ruth Marmaduke Falkenau; brothers, Robert, William and Carl Dwayne. He is survived by his wife, Patty; his children, Elizabeth Marmaduke Klein, Dr. David (Angela) Marmaduke, Shea Hazel, Phillip (Jan) Wright and Jim (Donna) Kendall; 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the Prentice Funeral Home, 1154 Kenmore Blvd. on Tuesday at 2 p.m. officiated by Pastor Sherman Bailey. Friends may call on Monday, from 5 to 7 p.m.
