Paul John Grutzmacher, Sr, 81 of Akron passed away on June 21, 2022.  He worked as an accountant and was a life member of VFW Post #3383.  He was an avid golfer and golfed up until he got sick.  He loved camping, fishing, boating and reading.  He loved sports, especially football and baseball.  He really enjoyed watching his grandkids.

Paul is preceded by his parents Paul & Marie Grutzmacher, sister Joyce Edwards and former wife Karen Carter.  He is survived by his son Paul (Melinda) Grutzmacher, stepchildren Holly (Mike) Rings and Michelle (James) Eller, grandchildren Paul Grutzmacher IV, Maria Grutzmacher, T.J. McCallum and Leah McCallum, brothers David (Pat) Grutzmacher, Don Grutzmacher and Dennis (Diane) Grutzmacher and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at the Prentice Funeral Home, 1154 Kenmore Blvd. on Friday, July 1, 2022 at 6:00 p.m., officiated by Don Bolich.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
