Opal E. (Riley) Stewart, 95 of Akron passed away on August 11, 2026. She was born in Bergoo, WV and moved to Akron at age 17. She went to beauty school and later worked at Quikey Manufacturing. She was a member of Rock of Ages Community Church. She loved birds, animals, doing word searches and especially loved her family. She loved deeply, laughed often and left our family with a lifetime of cherished memories.

Opal is preceded by her parents Clarence and Hazel Seabolt, her husbands Jack W. Riley and Gerald Stewart, sons Michael W. Riley and Patrick O. Riley, brother Bill (Peggy) Seabolt and sister Eleanor (Shelton) Hamrick. She is survived by her daughter Sandi (Mike) Cardinali, grandchildren Patrick (Adriana) Riley, Preston (Samantha) Riley, great-grandchildren Austin Riley and Zaydee Byrd, brother Larry (Nikki) Seabolt, sister Helen (John) Chapman and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to say a special thank you to St. Luke’s and Summa Hospice for their care.

There will be a private service and burial at Lakewood Cemetery.
