Mary Ann McCarthy November 8, 1928 February 7, 2015 Well she did it, after 86 years of loving her family and friends, MaryAnn McCarthy slipped from this earth to join her family in heaven. We were so lucky to have her for so long, but if we are being honest, 86 years just isn't enough, she will be missed by every person she touched. MaryAnn was so much more than just a mom to Patricia McCarthy, Jim McCarthy, Terri (Gary) Brown, she was the heart and soul, our cheerleader and our best friend, we take comfort in knowing that she is happy now, that she is hugging Stevie, the child she lost way too early, playing cards with her mother, Helen Kline, her sisters Betty Knabe and Alice Turner, and visiting with her brother Paul Kline Jr. Although she was the best mom ever, she was even a better Nana to Tricia Blaurock, Krista(Brad)Rakic, Justin Thompson and Michael McCarthy Jr, fun but firm, loving and loyal, always there if they needed her. She felt especially blessed to love all the little people who also called her Nana, Andrew Taylor, Donovan Thompson, Savannah Blaurock, Kaiden Rakic, Alayna Thompson and Jackson Rakic. You may be gone from our sight but you will never be gone from our hearts, we love you Nana, until we meet again. A Celebration Of Life Service will be held Wednesday at the Prentice Funeral Home, 1154 Kenmore Blvd., at 7 p.m. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 until time of service. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local animal shelter in her name.
