It is with great sadness that the family of Lois "Mamaw" Smith announces her passing on September 24th, 2023.  She was born in Allegany, Maryland on December 27th, 1934. Lois graduated from Beall High School in 1957 and proceeded to proudly work at the Ohio Bell Telephone Company as an operator for 25 years.

Lois Smith was a kind, strong, and generous woman. Known as "Mamaw" to most who knew her. You could always count on a great meal and company at Mamaw's house. She loved her family and friends greatly and was always willing to share her encouraging words and sharp wit.

She will be deeply missed by her sons Dennis, Don (Debbie), and Danny, grandchildren Krysten, Kevin, Russell (Nicole), and Alex (Angela), great grandsons Grayson (Alex), Dallas (Megan) Owen and Liam (Russell).

She is preceded by death by husband: Eugene "Pap", daughter in law: Darlene, grandsons: Denny, Darren and great granddaughter, Brianna.

Mamaw loved to bring people together for her special meals. In celebration of her life, a meal will be provided for close friends and family on October 7, 2023, from 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm at her home. Please call the family for details.
