Kenneth Goebel, 64, of Akron passed away peacefully August 17, 2018. He was employed by The City Of Akron and was a bicycle enthusiast. He was one of a kind and a free spirit, He had a great love of family, music and tie dye. Ken was preceded by parents, Howard Sr. and Marjorie and sister, Dorothea. He is survived by his children, Adam (Vicky) and Heather; sisters, Sue Green and Kathy Thomas; brother, Howard Jr. "Curly" (Brenda); grandchildren, Alysia (Jacob), Dennis (Tyra) and Jenna; great-grandson, Connor; many loving nieces and nephews and countless friends. Calling hours will be held at Prentice Funeral Home, 1154 Kenmore Blvd. on Tuesday, from 5 to 7 p.m., tie dye apparel preferred. Memorial service will be held at Hope Lutheran Church, 999 Portage Lakes Dr., on Wednesday at 6 p.m. officiated by Pastor Robert Tauscher.
