Judy Spires KENMORE -- After a courageous battle with cancer, Judy Spires 71, died September 25, 2018. She was a beloved sister, aunt, "soul mom", and friend. She was a life-long resident of Kenmore and was a die hard fan of her Cleveland Browns. Judy loved Jesus and served the Lord in many ways at King's Way Alliance Church. Judy worked at the University of Akron for 30 years, beginning in data entry and retiring as Telecommunications Technician Specialist. Judy was preceded by her parents, Donald and Wilma Spires. She leaves behind her loving sister, Joan Shaw; nephews, Glenn Shaw and Michael (Crystal) Shaw; great niece, Hannah Norman; great-nephew, Caiden Shaw; and "soul daughter", Lori (John) Feist. Funeral services will be held at King's Way Alliance Church, 2500 Kingsport Way, Akron on Monday at 11 a.m. officiated by Pastor Rob Hill. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Prentice Funeral Home, 1154 Kenmore Blvd. on Sunday, from 2 to 5 p.m. and an hour prior to the service at the church. Memorial gifts may be made to the church.
