John Tichon, 94 of Akron passed away on October 25, 2023. He was born in Barberton and lived in the Akron area his whole life.  He was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He worked at Goodyear Aerospace, Wonder Bread Co. and finished his career at Lockheed Martin. He loved working on his computer, woodworking, and all electronic gadgets. He was a loving husband and father.

John is preceded by his daughter Maryann Tichon, parents John and Marie Tichon and brother George Tichon.  He will be dearly missed by his beloved wife of 69 years Effie Tichon, daughter Margaret Brown, son John (Denise) Tichon, 9 grandchildren 12 great-grandchildren, brother Jim Tichon, sister Margaret Townsend and many nieces & nephews.

Calling hours will be held at the Prentice Funeral Home, 1154 Kenmore Blvd. on Tuesday, October 31st from 11 am to 1 pm. Private entombment will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
