John D. Nice, 66, of Kenmore passed away peacefully at home with his children after a long battle with cancer. He retired after 35 years of service from Meggitt Braking Systems. He was an avid sports enthusiast who enjoyed coaching his kids. John was a Kenmore man through and through who will be missed dearly by many. John was preceded by his parents, Willard and Phyllis. He is survived by his children, John Nice Jr., Joseph Nice and Jenny Nice; brother, James Nice; grandchildren, Ashley, Madison, Ava, Bailey and Jonathon and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Prentice-Conley Funeral Home, 1154 Kenmore Blvd. on Friday at 11 a.m., followed by burial at Lakewood Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m.
