James B. Rodgers
Jim, 63, passed away on Saturday, April 15. He was born in Camden, N.J.
When he was a toddler his family moved to the Akron area, where he attended Cuyahoga Falls Public Schools.
Preceded in death by his beloved dog, Jamie, Jim is survived by his wife and best friend of 45 years, Debby Rodgers; parents, John and Elinor Rodgers; sister, Carol (Jay) Monroe; brother, Tom (Charma) Rodgers; and many devoted friends.
Jim enjoyed traveling. He was a master of all trades and worked as an independent contractor when he wasn't doing favors by fixing things for all of his friends and family. His deep thirst for learning made him capable of carrying on a conversation on most any subject. He helped build the Zeppelin and was active there for over 36 years. Jim was known for being a kind and genuine man who was always ready to help anyone who needed it. He had a most generous nature and will be missed by many.
A celebration of his life will be held at the Dogwood Shelter at Wingfoot Lake Park on Friday, May 5th from 4 until sunset; and we'll tell stories of his life around 6. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity or help someone in need.
