James P. Bailey, 65, of Kenmore, passed away July 29, 2017 surrounded by his family. Jim was a loving husband, father and papa. He retired from PPG Industries where he served in many leadership positions of the Local ICWUC. He also was a member of the Board of Lake Dorothy, was active for over 40 years at Lazy Acres Campground and attended Park United Methodist Church.
Jim was preceded by his father, Charles. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Lori; children, Ryan, Aaron (Alicia), Matthew (Sarah) and Anna; five grandchildren; mother, Aletta; brother, Tom; sisters, Pam (Tom) Gant, Louann (Kathleen) Bailey, Shelley (Mike) Jasien; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Hope United Methodist Church, 2650 Cory Ave., Akron, on Saturday at 12 p.m., officiated by Pastor Pamela Buzalka. Friends may call at the Prentice-Conley Funeral Home, 1154 Kenmore Blvd., on Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and one hour prior to the service at the church.
