Helon M. Shaw, 91, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away August 24, 2015. She was born in Dalton, Ga. and moved to Kenmore in the 1940s. Helon graduated from Kenmore High School and The University of Akron. She was a past member of the Akron Baptist Temple and had retired from Santrock Elementary School in Barberton. Helon and her husband, Wilson, traveled the world together. Helon was preceded in death by parents, Clarence and Pauline Lane; husband, Wilson Shaw; and daughter, Claudia (Alan) Roxburgh. She is survived by grandchildren, Casey, Corey (Rob) and Kris (Kelly) as well as eight great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be held at the Mausoleum at Greenlawn Memorial Park on Thursday at 11a.m.
