Evelyn left us peacefully on August 21, 2015 after living 100 years of life in Akron.
Besides loving and caring for her family, Evelyn's passion was the piano. She played her entire life, with many years in bands and local dance studios, and retired from the Ohio Ballet Company. Evelyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband Carl, as well as daughters, Carol JoAnne Lane and Polly Kennedy. She leaves behind a son-in-law, Leonard Lipovsky Lane; grandchildren, Mark D. Lane (Tracie) and Laura Lane Lisby (Thomas); great-grandchildren, Michael Rodriguez (Caitlin) and Alyssa and Shawn Lane; and great-great granddaughter, Amelia Grace. Our family sends a bouquet of thanks to all that cared for Evelyn at the St. Lukes Community. A graveside service will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park at 11 a.m. on Friday. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Park United Methodist Church of Akron or the ASPCA.
