Eugene F. "Gene" Carr, 81 of Akron passed away on April 8, 2024.  He was in the U. S. Army and was a Vietnam veteran. He was a dedicated family man. He liked animals, especially cats, and loved spending time with his family.

Gene is preceded by his father Clyde Carr, mother Madaline Woods and beloved wife Susan Carr.  He is survived by his daughters Heather Johnson, Wendy (Jim) Barber and Anita Carr, grandchildren Shayla (Michael) Wright, Dominic Barber and Danielle Barber, great-grandchildren Heiden, Dehlia, Bentley and Lake.

Private service and military honors will be held, and he will be laid to rest at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
