David "Champ" Mason 58 of Akron passed away on April 29, 2025. He graduated from Garfield High School in 1985. He loved to play cards and pool, talk, hang out and was the life of the party.

David is survived by his parents David Palmer and Delores Mason, daughter Jessica (Carrington West) Medina, siblings Michael Mason, Tony (Lanechia) Mason, and Stacy Burt (Damion Stevenson), 4 grandchildren, 11 nieces and nephews, 17 great-nieces and nephews, special friends Mark Wooden, Terry Spear, and Shawn Barclay and special cousins Chris Palmer and William Davis.

A memorial service will be held at the Prentice Funeral Home, 1154 Kenmore Blvd. on Friday May 16, 2025 at 4:00 p.m., officiated by William McWain
