David Edward Binns, 74, went home to be with the Lord on October 8, 2022.

He was born in Akron, Ohio to Edward and Dorothy (nee Rainey) and was a graduate of Archbishop Hoban High School and Hammel Business College. He served in the US Army stationed in Okinowa and retired from Acme and Tenable Security Co.

David loved his grandkids and attended all their baseball games and would reward them for their great hits and great grades!  He also fought his own personal war with bamboo in the backyard!

He was preceeded in death by his parents and nephews, Brian and Nicholas Binns. He is survived by daughters, Dawn Lehman (Brian) and Erica May (Scott Behrend);   grandchildren, Mason and Levi Lehman and Avin May; brother, Raymond (Charlotte) Binns; his neighbors, special friends Myron and Gerald and many guppies!

Calling hours will be held Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Prentice Funeral Home, 1154 Kenmore Blvd, Akron, OH 44314 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM.  Services to immediately follow at the funeral home at 11:00 AM.  Father Michael Smith, officiating. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
