IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dano Lee
Koehler
April 5, 1950 – December 12, 2024
Dano Lee Koehler was born in Painesville, Ohio on April 5, 1950. He grew up in a loving home with his mother and father, his sister, and three brothers.
He held a degree from The University of Akron and attended Malone University. Dano retired after 39 years in government service, lastly as the Service Director of the City of Stow, Ohio.
Dano was married to his beloved wife, Lana, for 53 wonderful years. Together they had three children, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. They resided in Canton, Ohio together and attended North Canton Chapel.
Dano volunteered with at-risk young adults, and expertly taught many to drive. He also gave his time and talents to help people work on their houses and cars and had great skill in anything mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or construction related.
Dano was a lover of life. He always wanted to be surrounded by his family, holidays being his favorite time of the year because everyone was together. If he was not with family, you would find him fixing something. He had great knowledge and wisdom and loved to share it with others.
Dano fell in love with Lana while performing in a band together. He enjoyed music and playing his Gibson guitar or one of his many others. He was the most amazing husband, father, grandpa, and friend.
Dano's greatest love was his wife, Lana, followed by his children and grandchildren. He had the best laugh and was always up for having fun with his family. He welcomed others with open arms and exemplified Jesus with his servant heart. Dano loved the Lord, was a good and faithful servant, and now will spend eternity in the arms of his Savior.
Dano was preceded in death by his father, Frederick Koehler, and his brother, Dale Koehler.
Dano was survived by his loving wife, Lana Koehler, children Scott (Heather) Koehler, Emily (Matthew) Baughman, and Sarah (Steven, deceased) Motich, grandchildren Abigayle, Cadence, Luke, Jackson, Addison, Brooks, Ellie Claire, Evangeline, great grandchildren, Ella and Maxton, mother Joanne Koehler, siblings Terry (Jim) Ruiz, Dean (Ellen) Koehler, Jeff (Dana) Koehler, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family will be having Calling Hours from 12 to 2 pm followed by a Memorial Service at 2 pm on Friday, December 20, 2024 at North Canton Chapel, 715 Whittier Ave NW, North Canton, OH 44720.
