Cynthia "Cindy" Smith, 60, of Akron, was unexpectedly called to join her husband Donald E. Smith II of 39 years, dad Almond Crisp, and other loved ones in heaven on February 18, 2018. Cindy was born on July 1, 1957 to Mildred and Almond Crisp from Akron, Ohio. Cindy worked at Acme for 44 years stemming from a Kenmore High School work program. She was a union leader, hard-worker, and devoted employee. As a mother, she was selfless and caring doing everything she could to provide for her children. Her quick-witted sense of humor and keen intuition brought her many friends. Cindy is survived by her son, Donald E. Smith III; daughters, Kelly and Megan Smith; mother, Mildred Crisp; sisters, Brenda (Rick) Scaggs and Jamie (Larry) Biren; brother, Bobby (Jeanie) Crisp;, and a great number of nieces, nephews, and in-laws. Funeral services will be at the Prentice Funeral Home, 1154 Kenmore Blvd., on Saturday at 10:30 a.m., followed by burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Friends may call on Friday, 5 to 7 p.m.
