Betty Jane Shiflett, a life long resident of Kenmore and married to "Jack" Shiflett for 65 years joined him in peace on November 23, 2018 in heaven to be with her sons, Jack and Greg (and Brenda); grandson, Steven; and mother, Clara Jane (Marlin) Wellner along with many other family and friends. She leaves behind her sons, Mike (Cheryl) and Rick; grandchildren: Danielle, Adam, Claire, Megan, Erin, Jaime (Kris), Brent and Jennifer; great-grandchildren: Laelia, Zara, Maya, Jacob, Matthew and Jayla . She also leaves Brenda's children: Eric and Nicole and their children/ grandchildren: Geena, Madyson, Layla and Delaney. Betty attended Kenmore High School and worked in the community, then married Jack and raised her family with respect, honor and responsibility; her proudest achievement. Her home was always open to friends and family, particularly during the holidays. The family would like to thank City Hospital for being the bookends of her life, and especially the palliative care unit where she spent her last four days. Funeral services will be at the Prentice Funeral Home, 1154 Kenmore Blvd. on Saturday at 11 a.m., followed by burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Friends may call on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m.
