Obituary

Ann Heben, 95, a lifelong resident of Kenmore, passed away on December 6, 2015. She retired from Firestone Tire in 1982, was an active member of The First Church Of God in Tallmadge and volunteered at Jo Ann's Pantry. Ann was preceded in death by her husband, John; parents, Paul and Mary Yanik; brothers, Paul, John and Edward and sisters, Mary Brady and Mildred. She is survived by sons, John (Carol) and Russ; brother, Bob Yanik; grandchildren, Tiffanie (Jason) Alcala, Tami (Ed) Burke, Uriah, Russell (Mary Clemens), Laura Ann (David) Leiendecker; and great-grandchildren, Alexandra and Jason Alcala. She loved her grandchildren and made the holidays a special occasion. She was the personification of the phrase: "There's no place like home." She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Funeral service will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Prentice Funeral Home, 1154 Kenmore Blvd., officiated by Pastor Doug Walter with burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
